About Durmientes


Synopsis:

Mariano is about to be evicted and he becomes a squatter in his own house.
Andrea is a chronic student who works making 1500 telephone surveys a week. And Jésica is a hairdresser who names herself as a “colour specialist”.
Both are invited by him to establish a new way of life in community. Durmientes is a journey of three sleepless beings who search for a way of trascending the established social manners in an attempt to defend their singularity and their will to be together.

The history of the play:

DURMIENTES premiere is on august the 7th, 2011.  Theatre: Elefante Club de teatro. Shows every Sunday until december 2011.  Buenos Aires city.
- The play is granted a subsidy for its production by the NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THEATRE, THE NATIONAL FUND FOR ARTS AND PRO TEATRO.
-Takes part in the II Festival Escena 2011 Buenos Aires city.
-Second season in Elefante Club de Teatro on april 2012 . Shows every Friday until august 2012.
-The play is presented in Córdoba city for 5 performances. In  CENTRO CULTURAL ESPAÑA- CÓRDOBA.  13th, 14th and 15th october 2012.

About Florencia Bergallo/ Dramaturg and director

Florencia is born in the city of Córdoba on october the 6th, 1978. She is Licenciate in Drama from the Arts School of the National University of Córdoba. She lives and works in Buenos Aires since 2007. She trains proffesionally with different teachers in acting, dramaturgy, contemporary dance and singing.  Among them: Alejandro Catalán, Rubén Szuchmacher, Marcelo Bertuccio, Alejandro Robino, Cristina Banegas, Maricel Álverez, Leticia Mazur, Constanza Macras, Isabel Pinczinger, Walter Camertonni, Cheté Cavagliatto, Paco Gimenez, Carolina  Schneiter, Valeria Pagola.
She gets a grant for proffesional training by the National Institute for Theatre in two opportunities: to study dramaturgy with Marcelo Bertuccio (2011) and for acting coaching with Alejandro Catalán (2004). She coordinates acting courses in IUNA (National Institute for the Arts), Centro Cultural Rojas, El Cuarto study and she is an acting teacher in Alejandro Catalán´s study. 
As a director and dramatug she creates the play“El árbol en la niebla. Poética del recuerdo” (The tree  in the mist. A poetics of memory) in a call to work together with the group MEMORIA MIGRANTE. Colonia Tláhuac and Centro Cultural Helénico. México FD. February and august 2012.
“Durmientes” preview is on august 2011 in Buenos Aires city.
“Sociales” is presented in Córdoba- Argentina in 2009-2010, created together with DE-TURNO company.
 “Bahía Buen Suceso” is presented in 2006 and 2007 in Córdoba. Produced by “Cero punto Ellas” company.
As an actress she performs in this plays: “Anoche” by Paula Manzone preview in july 2012 / “Medieval” written and directed by Gonzalo Marull. This play takes part in the Festival de Teatro del Mercosur 2009, Festival de Teatro Rafaela 2010 and the Festival Argentino de Teatro, 2010/ “Serán sus ojos” by Nahuel Cano presented in 2009 in Buenos Aires./ “Antes Después” directed by Rubén Szuchmacher/ “Woyseck. ¿Quieres ser más que polvo, tierra, lodo?” directed by Roland Brus (Germany)/ “Pegarle a la bolsa” directed by the choreographer Constanza Macras (Argentine-Germany) / “El lector por horas” by José Sanchis Sinisterra, directed byJorge Díaz/ “El Infierno y el Purgatorio” directed by Cheté cavagliatto/ “Después de la batalla” by Heiner Müller directed by Stephan Suschke (ex artistic director in Berliner Ensamble), among others.
In Córdoba she creates the independent theatre company 0.ELLAS (cero punto ellas) since1998. With the company she presents this plays: Ofelia”, “Bacantes veintiuno” directed by Marcelo Arbach, “Yo maté a Mozart?” by Gonzalo Marull, “Yesterdei. Cosas que se pierden a la siesta” (written by herself) and directed by Luciano Delpratothe play is published in Ediciones DocumentA Escénicas 2005/ and “Bahía Buen Suceso”(writtend and directed by herself). Some of this plays participate in different tours and national and international festivals (Festival Internacional Teatro a Mil- Chile 2004/ Festival Internacional MERCOSUR 2005/ XX Fiesta Nacional del Teatro 2005 etc.). And they get different subsidys and grants; among them, 0.Ellas gets the Cabeza de Vaca Artes Escénicas 2007 granted by the Centro Cultural España-Córdoba/ Participant and creator of the company TEATRO MINÚSCULO –with whom she researchs in improvisational theatre since 2001- and presents in 2006 the theatrical sitcom “Maldita Afrodita” (theatrical sitcom presented in chapters). 
In television she performs in the show “La nada Blanca” (13 chapters) produced by INCAA TV. Its been transmitted in Tucumán and Córdoba during 2012.
